Deputy detained on suspicion of organising murder

According to sources, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a deputy suspected of ordering the murder of a businessman from Poltava region.

The individual in question is Oleg Dadyk, a member of the Poltava Regional Council representing the "For the Future" party. According to investigation materials, he planned to eliminate the entrepreneur, using his personal driver as the hitman. The subordinate was promised $20,000 for carrying out the crime.

Under the planned scenario, the killer was to strangle the victim with a rope noose and then stage a suicide. After eliminating the businessman, the deputy intended to appropriate the corporate rights to his agricultural company by forging documents.

However, the SBU managed to thwart the criminal plot. Operatives detained both perpetrators during the abduction, as they were transporting the entrepreneur to the location of the "meeting".

If found guilty, the defendants face up to 15 years of imprisonment.
