California wildfire death toll reaches 16

Wildfires that have spread to the suburbs of Los Angeles continue to cause significant damage. The total financial losses are expected to reach $150 billion.

 International aid is actively flowing into California: Mexican firefighters have joined their Canadian counterparts. At present, more than 14,000 personnel are working to extinguish six major fire hotspots in the region.
