Donbass Battalion disavows Semchenko

Yesterday, details emerged of the latest scandal involving People's Deputy and, as it turned out, former commander of the Donbass Battalion, Semen Semchenko. The MP was raising funds for the ATO in the US, using the name of singer Anastasia Prykhodko.

 

It appears that the Donbass Battalion has grown tired of the endless scandals surrounding Semchenko, and the unit issued an official statement in which it disavowed the MP.

 

 

"У зв’язку з частими скандалами навколо колишнього командира батальйону “Донбас” Національної Гвардії України – Семена Семенченко (у тому числі і останнім, який трапився в США під час виступу відомої української співачки Анастасії Приходько), змушені звернутися з офіційною заявою: (In light of the frequent scandals surrounding the former commander of the 'Donbas' Battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine – Semen Semchenko (including the latest one, which occurred in the US during a performance by the well-known Ukrainian singer Anastasia Prykhodko), we are compelled to issue an official statement:)

1. Окремий батальйон спеціального призначення “Донбас-Україна” Збройних Сил України не підтримує з громадянином Семеном Семенченко ніяких взаємин і не має з ним нічого спільного (1. The Separate Special Purpose Battalion 'Donbas-Ukraine' of the Armed Forces of Ukraine maintains no relations with citizen Semen Semchenko and has nothing to do with him)…", reads the official statement from the battalion's command and fighters.
