Anton Gerashchenko comments on his death

Today, some media outlets published a "sensational news" about the death of Interior Minister's advisor Anton Gerashchenko. The politician allegedly died of a heart attack. The news was immediately picked up and spread not only by Russian but also by Ukrainian media.

However, shortly after, Gerashchenko's death was refuted by both Interior Ministry staff and people who know him personally. Now, the advisor to Arsen Avakov has also commented on his "death".

“Rumours about my premature death are, to put it mildly, greatly exaggerated.

Ukrainian news agencies and websites that are spreading false information about my premature death without verifying its authenticity should be ashamed.

I recommend social media users to stop trusting information distributed, for example, on such fake or pro-Russian sites once and for all.
