Angelina Jolie had her ovaries removed

Famous Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie had her fallopian tubes and ovaries removed. The actress took such a radical step due to a high risk of cancer.  Jolie's relatives (mother, aunt and grandmother) died of breast or gynaecological cancer. The actress herself inherited the BRCA1 gene, which causes breast cancer, from her mother.

It is worth remembering that two years ago, Angelina Jolie underwent a mastectomy, as doctors diagnosed her with an 87 per cent probability of developing breast cancer in the future and a 50 per cent probability of ovarian cancer.
