Alexey Bychkov outperforms Russians at European Powerlifting Championship

Ukrainian athlete from the liberated Kramatorsk Alexey Bychkov became the European Powerlifting Champion on 9 May, at the competition held in the German city of Chemnitz from 6 to 9 May. This result denied first place to athletes from the Russian Federation.

 

Alexey's coaches Vladimir Saienko and Ivan Zbandut are pleased with their ward's achievements and the performance of the entire Ukrainian team.

 

It is highly symbolic that the athlete from Kramatorsk defeated the Russians precisely on 9 May. One hopes that victory in the war in Donbas is also not far off.
