Lawyer wins case against Dmitry Tarasov

As late as that morning, footballer Dmitry Tarasov was congratulating his third wife, Anastasia Kostenko, on their wedding anniversary from his Instagram page, but by evening his first wife had presented the athlete with an unpleasant "gift".

Surprise from Tarasov's ex-wife

The ex-wife, with the help of skilled lawyer Sergey Zhorin, managed to recover more than 15 million rubles in unpaid child support from Tarasov. The verdict was read out today. The footballer himself did not appear in court, so the case was heard in his absence. He also failed to secure a postponement of the hearing.

The judge found the arguments put forward by the lawyer and the footballer's first wife regarding the underpayment of child support to be compelling. The ex-wife attributed the shortfall to changes in the athlete's salary. Tarasov had been paying the amount initially set by the court. However, the club subsequently increased his remuneration. The athlete did not wish to share his increased income with his ex-wife and child. At least not voluntarily.

As a result, the ex-wife was forced to retain a lawyer and file a lawsuit.

Ukrainian experience in recovering child support

Ukrainian artist Anton Mukharsky once found himself in a similar situation. Snejana Yegorova not only recovered a substantial amount of child support from her ex-husband but also had his assets frozen and his travel abroad restricted. An experienced Kyiv lawyer assisted her by drafting the documents competently. Consequently, the court banned Mukharsky from leaving the country, selling assets, and so on.

However, the artist managed to flee Ukraine for Europe. But soon afterwards, Anton decided to return. Moreover, he had no choice but to agree to pay child support to Snejana and their joint children.

Such practice has become widespread recently. The state and judicial bodies are fully on the side of the children. This has led to a huge number of lawsuits filed by abandoned wives.

Legislative provisions have minimised the possibility of evading child support payments. At the same time, divorced parents have been given greater ease in taking children abroad. This is especially true if the spouse fails to pay the funds for the child prescribed by law.
