Biden administration spent $50 million on condom purchases

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that the Biden administration spent $50 million on purchasing condoms for residents of the Gaza Strip.

The Biden administration denied this claim. 

According to her, such statements do not reflect reality. The administration clarified that the funding could have been directed towards reproductive health programmes, including gynaecological services and other medical initiatives, but the funds were not intended exclusively for the purchase of contraceptives.

The Biden administration emphasised that disinformation surrounding such issues is distorted in the public sphere and urged people to rely on official sources.
