Zelensky attributes Starlink glitches to SpaceX complying with US government requirements

Official explanation for the cause of disruptions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the situation surrounding temporary glitches in the operation of Starlink and Starshield services. The head of state explained that these interruptions were the result of receiving a message from the American side regarding the need to limit speed.

Compliance with technical requirements

In response to journalists' questions about who bears responsibility for the interruptions and whether they were intentional, Zelensky emphasised the technical aspect of the situation. According to him, SpaceX technically complied with the US government's requirement.
