Residents of Berislav, which is subjected to daily artillery strikes and drone attacks, have been given the opportunity to leave the dangerous zone. According to authorities, a further 15 people, mostly of advanced age, were successfully evacuated.

How the rescue operation was carried out

Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, announced the results of the evacuation. He stated that the removal of people took place under constant fire from Russian forces, making the process extremely risky.

Two parties collaborated in the rescue. Soldiers from one of the Territorial Defence Forces brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine evacuated seven residents from the dangerous area. A further eight people were evacuated by volunteer Andrii Petukhov, callsign "Boxer".

Condition of evacuees and their future

Among the rescued are 12 women and three men. They are all currently in a safe location. The organisers of the operation are transporting the people to their relatives and loved ones in various regions of Ukraine, providing necessary support and assistance.

Oleksandr Prokudin emphasised that the Russian army continuously shells Berislav with artillery and uses drones, which made the evacuation dangerous.

Appeal to the community

The head of the Regional Military Administration called on residents of Kherson region communities who are under constant shelling not to delay their evacuation. He warned that due to intensified enemy attacks, it is becoming increasingly difficult to leave.
