On 16 October, at approximately 09:00, Russian armed forces carried out a strike using an unmanned aerial vehicle, preliminarily identified as a "Molniya" type, targeting a shopping centre located in the central part of Sumy.

Condition of victims and scale of damage

The head of the City Military Administration, Serhiy Kryvosheienko, reported on the consequences of the incident. The impact damaged the building's glazing.
