Voyage began before official agreement
Maritime analyst Michelle Wiese Bockmann reported that the tanker MINERVA ZEN, which is transporting diesel fuel from Russia, is approaching the shores of the United States. According to data from Windward, the vessel left the port of St Petersburg on 22 September. This occurred almost three weeks before Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin announced an agreement on the supply of Russian diesel.
Arrival forecast and current position
According to the expert's estimates, MINERVA ZEN is expected to reach the US coast within the next 48–72 hours. Ship tracking systems indicate that the tanker is currently in the Atlantic Ocean near the eastern coast of the United States.
Vessel nationality
It is worth noting that, despite some publications describing the tanker as Russian, MINERVA ZEN sails under the flag of Greece.
