Six killed and 15 injured: consequences of Russian shelling of Sloviansk

As of the morning of 18 October, the leadership of the Sloviansk Military-Civilian Administration released data on the consequences of enemy fire. According to MCA head Vadym Lyakh, six residents of the city were killed and 15 people were injured as a result of shelling over the past 24 hours.

Nature of weapons used

The statement noted that Russian forces attacked Sloviansk throughout the day, using various types of weaponry. It is stated that strikes by suicide drones (FPV) proved fatal in some cases.

Search and rescue operations

The bodies of several residents remained under the rubble of buildings destroyed by aerial bombs. Nighttime unblocking operations were halted due to the security situation. Rescue operations resumed on the morning of 18 October.
