US Secretary of State Marco Rubio firmly rejected accusations against the Donald Trump administration that it is deliberately harming Ukraine, particularly by restricting access to intelligence information. Official Washington described such claims as inconsistent with reality and unacceptable.

Reaction to accusations of hiding data

Commenting on information about possible US actions directed against Kyiv's interests, Rubio stated:

«Трамп реагує на натяки про те, що він якимось чином вживає заходів, спрямованих на навмисне завдання шкоди Україні, що несправедливо й не відповідає дійсності. Я чув, як хтось, пов’язаний з українським урядом, заявив, що люди в Україні гинуть, бо Сполучені Штати позбавляють їх інформації. Це обурливо. Це неприйнятно. Це просто неправда» (Trump is reacting to hints that he is somehow taking measures aimed at deliberately harming Ukraine, which is unfair and untrue. I heard someone connected to the Ukrainian government say that people in Ukraine are dying because the United States is depriving them of information. This is outrageous. This is unacceptable. This is simply untrue).

Status of military support and Starlink

According to the Secretary of State, the United States continues to provide aid to Ukraine in the previous volume. These comments came against the backdrop of existing disagreements regarding Ukrainian military access to ballistic threat warnings and full utilisation of the Starlink satellite network. Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly stated that there were problems in these areas.

Supply of missiles for Patriot

In addition, Rubio explained the reasons why the US cannot always supply Ukraine with the necessary number of interceptor missiles for Patriot systems. He noted that Washington is forced to balance its commitments to other partners with its own defence needs.

Thus, the US administration categorically denies deliberately restricting support for Ukraine. Meanwhile, the issue of access to certain air defence systems and means remains a subject of public disagreement between the parties.
