Media claim that Serhiy Kushnir, who holds the position of head of the department (specifically, control and administration of customs payments) at the Lviv Customs, allegedly collects $200 per car from car importers "for Yukhta's department".
Previously, Kushnir worked at the Kyiv Customs before transferring to the Lviv Customs. In his 2025 declaration, he stated that his salary was 828,000 hryvnia. The official's wife, Ksenia Hryhorivna Kushnir, declared income from business activities amounting to 740,000 hryvnia.
The family keeps significant sums in cash: the wife holds $36,000 and €18,000, while Kushnir himself holds $23,000.
Ksenia Kushnir owns a 98.1 m² apartment in Kyiv, acquired on 28 August 2015. The value of the property at the time of acquisition was 685,650 hryvnia.
Kushnir himself temporarily resides in a 93.1 m² apartment in Lviv owned by Ruslan Andriyovych Danyliuk. He has been using this apartment since 1 January 2024. Additionally, his wife owns a 34% share in LLC "Spetsmash-Invest" (EDRPOU 37588273, Kyiv). The value of the share is listed as 8,000 hryvnia in the declaration. The company is engaged in the trade of automobiles and motor vehicles.
Kushnir's declaration lists no cars, yet he does not walk to work but uses an Audi Q5. His wife drives a Mazda CX-5, which is registered in her father's name.
There is also a discrepancy regarding the place of residence. Officially, Kushnir rents an apartment in Lviv on Zdorovya Street (an old building near the station). Meanwhile, according to informed sources, he actually lives in the elite "Avalon 37" residential complex, where rental prices range from $700 to $1,800. The apartment is located not far from the centre.
