Scale of detected violations

The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) published the results of its monitoring of public officials' declarations for the first three quarters of 2026. During the review of 653 documents, experts recorded violations in 649 cases. The total value of potential illicit assets or inaccurate data contained in these statements exceeded UAH 2.7 billion.

Structure of detected offences

Analysis showed that the vast majority of violations relate to the provision of false information. In 368 declarations, signs of inaccurate data were established, amounting to over UAH 2.618 billion. In addition, signs of illicit enrichment were recorded in nine cases, totalling UAH 146 million, while signs of unjustified assets were found in seven documents, amounting to UAH 31 million.

Law enforcement response

Based on the conducted reviews, NACP prepared 340 substantiated conclusions, which were forwarded to law enforcement agencies. These materials served as the basis for opening 149 criminal proceedings.

Who most frequently violates requirements

Local self-government representatives remain the leaders in the number of declarations with detected violations, accounting for 156 documents. A significant portion of these (123 declarations) belongs to local council deputies.

Judicial practice and caveats

The agency also noted that, based on review materials from 2024–2026, 21 guilty verdicts have entered into legal force. At the same time, NACP emphasises that the presence of signs of violations does not automatically confirm the declarant's guilt. The final decision on criminal liability is made exclusively by the court.
