Lack of warnings from allies

Dmytro Lytvin, an advisor to the President of Ukraine, confirmed that Western partners did not inform the Ukrainian side about potential ballistic missile launches towards the capital prior to the latest shelling. According to him, the relevant warnings were not received.

Clarifying technical causes

The official noted that a detailed examination of all circumstances of the incident is currently underway. Military experts and relevant services are establishing the reasons why the threat was not detected in advance. In particular, data regarding the types of weapons used and the flight trajectories of the missiles are being analysed.

The aim of the investigation is to determine why the air raid alert did not activate before the explosions occurred in the city.
