Kremlin spokesman denies document exchange
Dmitry Peskov, who serves as Vladimir Putin's spokesman, officially refuted information that any documents were handed over during yesterday's meeting with Witkoff. According to Peskov, the Russian side did not provide any written proposals regarding the peaceful settlement of the war in Ukraine.
Comment to Russian media
The Kremlin's communications chief voiced these caveats in a comment to Russian propagandists. He emphasised that there was no formal documentary record of the proposals.
Position on European partners
In addition, Peskov noted that Moscow is observing increased activity from certain European capitals. In his words, these countries are trying to understand what is happening within the framework of the negotiation process concerning Ukraine. At the same time, the Kremlin spokesman stated that no statements regarding readiness for a dialogue that would take the interests of the Russian Federation into account have been heard from their side.
