On the night of 17 to 18 October, units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces carried out a series of successful strikes on key targets of the Russian aggressor. The results of the combat operations were announced by the press centre of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
One of the targets was a site for the storage, preparation and launch of strike unmanned aerial vehicles in the area of the city of Donetsk. The military command notes that this strike significantly reduces the enemy's ability to attack Ukrainian territory and civilian infrastructure using drones of various modifications.
Ukrainian soldiers also struck a repair base servicing the automotive equipment and armoured fighting vehicles of the "South" military grouping. This facility is located near the settlement of Sukhohilsk in Luhansk region.
The aftermath of the strike complicates the process of restoring the enemy's damaged equipment and returning it to combat units on the front line.
In addition, a concentration of personnel from one of the Russian army units came under fire in the area of the village of Dubove in Donetsk region.
The General Staff emphasised that operations against key military targets of the enemy continue: «Робота по ключових військових цілях противника триває. Далі буде!» (Operations against key military targets of the enemy continue. More to come!)
