Personnel changes after defeat to Polissya
Kyiv's Dynamo is considering the possibility of returning Oleh Husev and Serhiy Fedorov to active coaching duties. According to the specialised channel Dynamo Kyiv Inside, the club's management is evaluating options for involving these specialists in working with the first team or the youth squad. Currently, the most likely scenario is considered to be the appointment of both coaches to the U-21 team staff.
The trigger for the personnel reshuffle was Dynamo's defeat in the Ukrainian championship match against Polissya, which ended with a score of 1:3. Following this game, the club dismissed head coach Igor Kostyuk. Polish specialist Maciej Kendzorek has been appointed as the acting head coach of the first team.
Expected restructuring of coaching staffs
Igor Kostyuk's departure is accompanied by a partial update of the coaching apparatus. The club intends to strengthen both the first team and the youth sector. The return of Husev and Fedorov to the U-21 squad is considered the most likely scenario, as both specialists already have experience working with young players.
Since 2018, Oleh Husev and Serhiy Fedorov have been part of Yuriy Moroz's coaching staff, who at the time managed the U-21 team. Therefore, returning to work with the youth squad will not be something new in their careers.
Husev's and Fedorov's experience at Dynamo
Oleh Husev previously worked as an assistant to the head coach in Dynamo's first team during the eras of Mircea Lucescu and Oleksandr Shovkovskyi. After Shovkovskyi's departure, Husev stepped back from direct work with the team. Club president Igor Surkis kept him within the Dynamo structure, appointing him to the position of advisor. In this role, the specialist was responsible for reviewing footballers and attended training camps.
Serhiy Fedorov also has many years of experience working at the Kyiv club. In different years, he was part of the coaching staffs of Oleh Blokhin and Serhiy Rebrov, and also worked with youth teams. One of the areas of his activity was the training of defenders. After parting ways with Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's staff, Fedorov stopped working with the first team. Now, his candidacy, like Husev's, is being considered for a return to coaching activities within the club's updated structure.
