Frontline dynamics: liberated territory exceeds losses

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasised that since the start of autumn, the Defence Forces have liberated more territory than Russian troops have managed to capture. The head of state noted that this trend has been characteristic of the entire current year: Ukrainian fighters are demonstrating effective defence and destroying the enemy's attempts to break through the front line.

Zelensky made these assessments following a report by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatyi.

Situation on key directions

According to the president, the situation remains difficult in the Dobropillia area. There, Ukrainian military personnel are destroying Russian assault groups and infiltration attempts. Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding their positions in other parts of the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions, as well as in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Separate mention was made of the successes of the Air Assault Forces and the Third Army Corps, which are actively resisting the enemy's advance.

«Тенденція цього року зберігається: наші воїни звільнили більше території з початку осені, ніж росіянам вдалося захопити. Так само було і в інші частини року» (This year's trend continues: our warriors have liberated more territory since the start of autumn than the Russians have managed to capture. The same was true for other parts of the year), Zelensky stated.

Strategic settlements remain under Ukrainian control

The president clarified that Dobropillia, Kostiantynivka, Oleksiivka-Druzhkivka, Orikhiv, Novopavlivka, Novoandriivka, and Velykomikhailivka remain within Ukrainian control. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are also defending areas adjacent to Kramatorsk.

Volodymyr Zelensky refuted Vladimir Putin's claims about the proximity of Russian troops to Zaporizhzhia. According to the Ukrainian leader, the Defence Forces are striking the enemy at a distance of 20 kilometres from the city, not 5 kilometres, as the Russian president claims.

«Фронт наш міцний. Я дякую кожному воїну, кожному нашому підрозділу, які повністю виконують завдання» (Our front is strong. I thank every warrior, every one of our units, who are fully carrying out their tasks), the head of state concluded.
