Investigation establishes details of violence

Staff of the State Bureau of Investigation have completed the collection of evidence in the case of violence against a mobilised citizen and notified a military serviceman of one of the units of the Lviv Territorial Centre for Recruitment and Social Support of suspicion. According to the investigation, the incident took place in September 2026.

It was established that the victim was lying on the floor, his hands were tied behind his back, making defence impossible. A group of TCC staff members struck him with fists and feet in the area of the torso and chest. According to the investigator's version, the suspect personally delivered at least two kicks to the victim.

Consequences of the incident

After the use of physical force, the mobilised man was forcibly moved to a technical room of the TCC in Lviv. An ambulance was subsequently called to the scene, which transported the man to hospital. Despite medical assistance, he died from the injuries sustained.

Past offences

This is not the only criminal proceeding in which this military serviceman is involved. As early as August 2026, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Lviv handed down a verdict for receiving a bribe by prior conspiracy with other persons. At that time, the court imposed a punishment that did not involve deprivation of liberty.

Currently, law enforcement agencies continue to establish all the circumstances of the incident that occurred in September, as well as to determine the role of other TCC staff members in the beating.
