Fires at energy facilities extinguished in Ternopil region after drone strikes

Strike on the energy sector

On 18 October, Russian forces struck the territory of Ternopil region. As a result of the attack, carried out using unmanned aerial vehicles, energy sector infrastructure was damaged. This was reported by the regional department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Actions of rescue services

Fires broke out at energy facilities following the drone hits. Fire and rescue units of the State Emergency Service, as well as pyrotechnic brigades, were deployed to contain and extinguish the fires. Police officers and representatives of other responsible services participated in the operations.
