Travel restrictions and personal undertaking

On 20 October, the Poninsky District Court of Kropyvnytskyi issued a decision regarding preventive measures for Andrii Tabachuk. A member of the Kirovohrad Regional Council from the “Batkivshchyna” party, who also heads the Regional Centre for Emergency Medical Aid, is now required to comply with a personal undertaking until 12 December. The court prohibited him from leaving the region and contacting witnesses. He was not relieved of his duties as the head of the medical institution.

Suspicion of inflated equipment costs

Investigators suspect Tabachuk of official negligence. According to the pre-trial investigation, during the purchase of 62 capnographs, the head of the institution failed to ensure proper verification of market prices, resulting in damages amounting to 4.3 million hryvnias.

Contract details and the MP’s position

In December 2024, the medical institution signed an agreement with LLC “Medprovider”, which was the sole participant in the tender. The contract, funded by the National Health Service of Ukraine, amounted to 8.52 million hryvnias. Although all 62 devices were delivered, the investigation considers their cost to be inflated. Andrii Tabachuk himself claims that the suspicions against him are unfounded.
