Chortkiv in Ternopil region hit twice by Russian strikes, production facility damaged

Nighttime strikes on the city

On the night of 16 October, Russian forces carried out a series of attacks on targets in the Ternopil region. In particular, the city of Chortkiv came under fire twice.

These events were reported by Taras Pastukh, head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration.

Consequences of the impacts

As a result of one of the strikes, a production facility was damaged. Following the impact, a fire broke out in the building, covering an area of 15 square metres.

Employees of the State Emergency Service worked on site to eliminate the consequences of the incident. At present, the fire has been extinguished.

No information on casualties has been received.
