Border delays due to security restrictions

Border crossing points between Ukraine and Poland are facing a significant increase in queues. The main cause is the temporary suspension of vehicle processing introduced due to the threat of aerial attacks. The biggest problems are observed in Dorohusk, where waiting times reach 40 hours, and in Hrebenné, where the queue has been holding for over a day. This is reported by Polskie Radio.

Details of the situation from the Polish side

Information on the current state of affairs was provided by Michał Derus, a representative of the tax administration in Lublin. He explained that due to the risk of bomb strikes, the processing of trucks, passenger cars, and buses is temporarily suspended.

«У Дорогуську на митне оформлення треба чекати 40 годин, у Гребенному — понад 24 години, а в Зосині — вісім годин. Протягом кількох годин уночі ми мали дев’ять сигналів тривоги про бомбові атаки. Зранку було ще кілька» ("In Dorohusk, you have to wait 40 hours for customs clearance, in Hrebenné — over 24 hours, and in Zosin — eight hours. During several hours at night, we had nine alerts about bomb attacks. In the morning, there were a few more"), — Derus said.

Waiting statistics and throughput capacity

According to customs and tax services, currently 880 trucks are waiting for processing in Hrebenné, and 250 in Zosin. Despite existing delays, over the past day, service staff at border crossings in the Lublin Voivodeship managed to process and clear over 3,000 trucks and over 3,700 passenger cars.
