Yuriy Lutsenko stated that Mykhailo Fedorov's first business project was linked to the sale of water as a weight-loss aid.
Former Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko spoke about a fraudulent project that, according to him, Mykhailo Fedorov was involved in during the early 2000s.
According to Lutsenko, Fedorov, together with two partners, sold ordinary water to women in Zaporizhzhia, positioning it as a means for weight loss and combating excess weight.
Lutsenko claims that such offers were common at the time. He stated that the market also sold various goods and products that were attributed with weight-reducing properties.
The former minister stated that Fedorov's two partners ultimately received punishment in a case he describes as financial fraud. Fedorov himself, according to Lutsenko, did not face criminal liability.
However, the statement does not specify the company name, legal documents, or the criminal case number that would allow these circumstances to be verified.
During the full-scale Russian invasion, Mykhailo Fedorov held various state positions and was involved in launching a number of state digital and other initiatives.
